APPRAISALS The Japanese Sword Society of Canada (JSSC) not only administrates our courses of study of the Japanese sword but, also provide appraisal services for insurance purposes, or estate evaluations. Assistance with estate liquidations can be arranged. As part of the appraisal, it includes course identification of the sword maker, the period, the tradition and school and family history. We appraise from one sword to entire collections. We also appraise most Japanese works of art. Our experts have the highest qualifications and hold Kantei Masters certificates of appraisal. With a sword appraisal, we include a booklet on the swordsmith containing his history and significance, and other results of our research. We welcome all inquiries. Effective January 1, 2021, our appraisal fee will be $250.00 for individual swords. Large collections to be negotiated. |
