Bizen Kuni Ju Yokoyama Sukekane

A beautifully Koshirae Wakisashi that could be combined with #228 to make the perfect Dai-Sho. Both exhibit the famous double flowered Choji Hamon. Both freshly polished in excellent condition comes with NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho papers. Sukekane is the son of Sukenaga. Both representative Smiths of the Bizen tradition of the Shin Shinto period. 1854 - 1868 was the period of rebelliousness noted in the movie "The Last Samurai". The last battle fought before the end of the Samurai period.
